Living with health challenges can sometimes make us feel defined by symptoms, limitations, or the parts of ourselves that need attention. In this session, we will explore a different perspective drawn from the yogic tradition: the idea that beneath these changing experiences, there is a deeper wholeness within us that remains intact.

Join David Wise, doctor of physical therapy, for an interactive online workshop exploring the surprising science behind how your brain and body coordinate movement, and what that means for functional neurological disorder.
This isn't a lecture. You'll try simple, hands-on demonstrations right from your own living room—no special equipment needed—that reveal just how automatic, adaptable, and sometimes unpredictable your nervous system really is. You'll walk away with a clearer understanding of why movement can change from moment to moment, practical tools you can use at home, and a new appreciation for just how remarkable your nervous system is.
Whether you're living with functional neurological disorder, supporting someone who is, or simply curious about the mind-body connection, this workshop offers accessible, evidence-informed insight in a warm, welcoming format.
This online yoga session focuses on gentle, symptom-informed movement, relaxation, and mindfulness tailored to help support people living with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). Classes are designed to be low-pressure and adaptable so you can move in ways that feel safe and comfortable for your body.
Cindy is a certified Yoga and Pilates instructor with more than 30 years of experience helping people improve their strength, mobility, balance, and overall well-being. Her teaching style is gentle, supportive, and accessible, with a focus on meeting each person where they are. I believe yoga should be adaptable to every body and every ability, especially for those living with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).
Moving Beyond Shame: Compassionate Conversations About FND
Dr. Moenter is offering a one-hour facilitated dialogue for people living with functional neurological disorder (FND). The session will focus on the often-overlooked experience of shame and how it can affect confidence, relationships, communication, resilience, and everyday life.
Together, we will explore how shame may develop when FND symptoms are misunderstood, questioned, or difficult to explain, and how stigma and self-blame can shape the way people view themselves and their condition. The discussion will provide a supportive, respectful space for participants to share experiences, if they wish, while hearing from others who may face similar challenges.
Dr. Moenter will help you distinguish shame from responsibility, challenge common misconceptions about FND, and introduce compassionate strategies for managing self-critical thoughts, setting boundaries, seeking support, and developing a more accepting understanding of life with FND. Participation is voluntary, and attendees are welcome to listen.
Living with FND and Multiple Diagnoses
The session will focus on practical, compassionate ways to navigate daily life with multiple diagnoses, overlapping symptoms, and changing healthcare needs. Topics will include managing energy, sensory experiences, brain-healthy foods, emotional well-being, relationships, and communication with healthcare providers.
Participants will explore strategies for understanding their individual needs, advocating for appropriate support, adapting routines, and building confidence in managing life with complex health conditions. The session will be supportive and solution-focused, with sharing optional- attendees are welcome to participate simply by listening.
